Meet The Team

Claire

Founder/Run Leader

Hello! I’m the founder of RunScape Adventures and running has always been my go to! It’s not about the pace but about the journey and the peace of mind, sense of freedom and feel-good factor it gives you.

As co-director of the trail running company BigFeat Events, I spend a lot of time studying maps and going out exploring new trails. There is so much out there when you’re prepared to go off-piste! I’ve always preferred active holidays, and find I come back more refreshed than when I’m on a ‘traditional’ holiday where you’re sat down or lying around all day.

As well as running, I’m a keen triathlete and have represented GB at age group level, preferring the longer races, half and full Ironman distance.

With a Sports Science degree and being a PE teacher by trade, differentiating activities so everyone gets the most from them is what I love doing!
Chris

Run Leader

Running is my main passion, an escape to help me unwind and maintain a healthy state of mind.  Whether it’s track, road racing or the tranquility of the trails, I love the personal challenges it provides.

I am also a member of the BigFeat Events team, helping to organise trail running events across the country.  For several years now, I have also been leading sessions at my local running club. I love seeing the runners grow in confidence and progress. Putting the fun into running is so important and I can’t wait for the chance to do this with RunScape Adventures!

Not only do I love to run, I love to swim and cycle too, competing in triathlons mainly at half and full Ironman distance. I also enjoy walking with my faithful canine companion, Jaffa!

Run Leader

Hi! I’m Kirsty Clover, a passionate and dedicated individual whose love for running knows no bounds! My journey into the running world started relatively late in life, when, at the age of 46, I trained to complete my first Park Run. Fast forward a few years and I was very proud to represent my country in Triathlon as a member of Team GB age group. I also secured a coveted Good for Age place in the London Marathon World Championships.

My affinity for running stems from a deep-seated love for the sport’s transformative powers. I believe in the joy that running brings, both physically and mentally.

In my role as a run leader, I aim to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for runners of all levels. Join me on the trails and let my contagious love for running inspire you to reach new heights in your own running journey!

British Triathlon Coach

I’ve been running since my late teens and my first 10k was in 1991! I still do road races but I’m happiest following a trail and running with the amazing peace and quiet of the beautiful earth around me.

I call them my sensory runs. It’s about seeing, hearing and smelling; getting an incredible mental welfare kick from being out in whatever the weather chooses to give. Add some company and chat to this and I’m a very contented person! Running a trail ultra is certainly the best experience for me.

I’m currently a British Triathlon coach, and work with 3 inclusive Triathlon clubs. I have competed at GB Age group level Triathlon, acquiring 2 x World Bronze medals in Standard and Middle Distance Duathlon. I am also part of the BigFeat Events team and enjoy helping sign out the routes and sorting out event day logistics!

Strength and Conditioning Coach

I love running, but what I love even more is the running community and how much joy it brings to my life. I started running in my late 20’s. 20 years on, I have grown so much through it!

Two of my core values are freedom and making a difference. Running has been channeling both. It provides me with an immense sense of freedom every time I lace my trainers up.

Through joining a running club, I also discovered how much I loved supporting other runners (I am a qualified Coach in Running Fitness) . This experience actually inspired me to quit my office job and retrain as a personal trainer and, more recently, a health and well-being coach.  I now help runners achieve their goals through comprehensive personal training plans and strength and conditioning programs.

I run for fun, enjoyment, shared adventures and I feel very privileged to be part of the amazing running community.

Run Leader

I have always loved the outdoors. Camping and coastal walks were my favoured childhood activities and I spent most of my teenage years staying on a farm helping with all the outdoor jobs.

A bit of a late bloomer, I bought my first trail shoes about 5 years ago when the opportunity to  join a running holiday in Slovenia and Croatia arose. I just love the freedom of jogging along in nature, with epic views and great company, and absolutely no pressure on pace or distance.

I have a lot of experience at attending running holidays! Each time appreciating the opportunity to be immersed in the rural lifestyle and cultures that venturing off the beaten track provides. It’s a cliche, but the camaraderie of trail runners is legendary – so many friends have been made on these trips!

I am very motivated to continue to improve my running and this year won the Gold medal in the British Masters Marathon Championships. I am however happiest on a trail at a much gentler pace, often with a pack filled with snacks because I just don’t know exactly when I am coming back!

Paul

Run Leader

For many years, long-distance running has been my passion, taking me from familiar roads to uncharted trails. The joy of exploration, the camaraderie of shared runs, and the thrill of pushing my limits have shaped my journey.

Trail running holds a special place in my running journey. Guiding others on these adventures has enriched my experience, fostering a shared sense of discovery and connection. Long-distance running is more than a sport; it’s about perseverance and self-discovery…..a gift that keeps on giving!
